Last night 12 of us had a great time with Stampin' Bunco! We had great snacks! Great prizes and Great FUN! Congratulations to the winners of the certificates. Remember that I will be turning in the order for the prizes. Thanks to all for coming and making it a wonderful time! (I will be posting the photos on my website)

This weekend I am vendoring at a crop being held on the Air Force Base. Well I am going to keep today short as my mother in law heads back to california in the morning. It has been a good visit and we will miss her. I would also like to have everyone keep one of my friends in their thoughts and prayers (Sharon) as her mother passed away yesterday.

Hugs to all

Color Inspiration

Here is a site that has color inspiration weekly posted from someone that just takes photos while out shopping. I decided to take the challenge and here is the card that I came up with. I think it is cute. I borrowed the stamp set One of a Kind from my dear friend Jennifer R (its broke in now!) I am going to have to put this on my wish list. Next months class project is made with this stamp also. i will get a sample of that posted on my website as soon as I purchase a frame for it tomorrow.

Well, back to stamping! Toodles

Technique Tuesday ... Mosaic Frame

Mosaic Tiles

Step 1
Step 2

Step 3
Finished!
1.What you will need is designer series paper strips (approx 1/2" wide) just use your scraps. I used Tombow glue and Copper embossing powder. I just cut strips of the paper into little random shapes in a pile and applied glue to the mat of the frame in small sections (2) and started piecing the paper all over. I would then apply the embossing powder and heat emboss a section (3)(about a 6 inch section at a time). Then there you go. A cute and unique matting or background for a frame. (This is actually a gift for a close friend of mine. Hope she doesnt read this before I get her gift to her). :)
Have a stamptabulous day! Try the technique. You will like it!

Makeover Monday

HELLO EVERYONE!

Well today I am starting the new programs. This is Makeover Monday. This is where either I find a card or scrapbook page and give it an SU makeover. (if you find one that you would like to see madeover send me a link and I will give it a shot).

Today I picked a simple monochromatic card using the priceless set. Here are the supplies I used.

Cardstock:

Old Olive

Very Vanilla

Basic Black

Ink - Old Olive

Accessories: Silver Brad & Stampin' Dimentional

I decided to add the flower to add a little pop to the card. This card can easily be converted by sliding the focal point to the left or wrapping a ribbon above the sentiment. Easy to do easy to copy. Make one of your own and send it to me. I would love to see your version.

Hope that you had a great monday!

The first card is the Card I found in Papercrafts Remodeled. The second card is the remodeled card made with all SU supplies (all images copyrighted by Stampin' Up!)

Happy New Year!

Wow, I cannot believe that it is already 2009. Time to ring in the new year. I will tell you that I had a great time last night at a Murder Mystery night. We all dressed up in old western type wear and had parts to act out. You had to act your part, dress your part and figure out whom was murdered at the "Deadwood Saloon". It really was cool. Great performances and costumes. I will try to get some uploaded online so that you can see the fun.

Today I went to Topeka and tomorrow I am going to get some stamping in and finish my newsletter that is going out to my stamp group. Not sure what the rest of the weekend will bring but hopefully a lot of stamping as I am in the mood to get some done!

Have a great 2009 hope to see and hear from you all soon!

J
